my oil pan won't drop, I already cherry picked and raised engine everything is loose but oil pan still won't drop Am I supposed to lower the front chassis

Oh keep the original 403 carbie , its one of the rare 800 cfm Qjets all the rest are 750 cfm . All 403s had 800s

I'll give you US people an idea , I live in Australia, that motor in Australia would go for about $1500 , any US V8 is worth big money here , I'll give you an example , several company's import US V8s 90 percent are sold " suit rebuild" so they do not run and are worn out ! A suit rebuild 350 chev is worth $1100 depending on what year but at least $1100 or more , for a totally stuffed motor , something less common is worth more , I saw a 403 Olds complete , just a standard motor , $3500 and $4500 with a T200 4R , Big Block Chevs just 454 s $4500 running . But that's just a dirty pull out motor with oil leaks and dinged in valve covers . I'll tell you how Aussie company's import from the US , they get a 20ft shipping container and stand it on its end open the doors and drop chevs and Ford's and Chrysler motors in untill its full, it don't matter if stuff gets broken , they still get over $1000 for a motor with smashed stuff . But on the other hand 351Clevelands and 302 Cleveland's are everywhere here . They are the cheaper motors .

Hey you know the plastic piece inside the shift lever when the knob is off ? The one that engages down so you can shift into gears ? Mine is broken… can I glue it back together or maybe replace it ? If so… how ? I have the same floor shifter in my Grand Prix

I would love to know what part number that is. I have a buick Regal GN and it has the aluminum (painted black) top outside trim piece on the car. I ordered the belt sweeps from RA. I ordered the 'black bead'. I now know that is the WRONG outer piece. None of these guys can mark their parts with a description to identify the version they are selling.

At 16 I had a 78 Pontiac with that 403 combination. Same results. Loved it and loved the howl of the Quadrajet.

What if my check engine light doesn’t stay on? It goes away while driving

The one thing I would have done different is remove the carb. first. If you dropped anything while the carb. was on the car, it most likely be gone. Also those hold down bolts being loose, you would want to make sure the carb gasket to the manifold was not damaged. But this is a good video,,,,,,,,,,,,,

It was sucking gas so fast because of the return line, all the gas it wasn't using was getting pumped back into the tank.

I have seen a bunch of people toss a good q jet because it develops an off idle stumble- i take their “bad” q jet - install a new accelerator pump plunger and go do burn outs- your video is the best rebuild i have watched so far- people dont realize their is only 2 q jet sizes 750 and 800cfm- GM used millions of these carbs on hot small blocks and big blocks that were very fast- they are still used today by guys that can tune them to run 9s in the 1/4 mile - that is screamin fast-

Just think..if u woulda fixed the fuel tank 11 years before that it woulda been in your hands..but some dumb reason you knew the motor was legit but wouldn't buy it because they were to dumb to fix..well my friend...your just as dumb... Now you got a 20year old motor that need rebuilt....lol

I have this same car and the "service engine soon" light comes on and off intermittently. All my research indicates the TPS is the most likely cause. Thank you for this video, because I had absolutely no idea where the TPS was located or how to go about replacing it.

How do you test the TPS on the bench?
